The Dietitians Association of Australia invites you to join us at the 36th National Conference on the Gold Coast. The theme of the 2019 conference is ‘More than meets the eye’, and we invite you to discover all the excitement that a conference in Queensland has to offer. The phrase ‘beautiful one day perfect the next’ is synonymous with Queensland and our beaches are the best in the world, but attending the conference will take you on a journey of discovery that is bound to provide more than meets the eye. The exciting night life of Surfers Paradise, the beautiful hinterland, lush tropical rainforests and the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef all await you! Along with diverse landscapes, you will meet diverse peoples and can discover our amazing indigenous heritage which extends from the NSW border to the ‘outback’ and to far North Queensland.
Come together with dietitians from across the country and our region for research and practice presented in novel and innovative ways, including themed sessions, open forums, panel discussions, Pecha Kucha, and more. The conference will focus on key issues surrounding indigenous health, mental health from nutrition and dietetics perspectives, and the nutritional issues of children – the future of a healthier Australia! Other themes will encompass the challenges of clinical and professional practices as we approach the next decade!
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is perfectly positioned to offer you a working holiday getaway like no other in a relaxed atmosphere of surf, sun, sand, great shopping and entertainment, and the freshest tropical produce in Australia! Come along and present, share, learn and network in Queensland, and we guarantee you will find more than meets the eye! We are proud and pleased to welcome you to the Gold Coast in 2019.
